Ch17 P00
Love Not Found is back with a brand new chapter! It’s exciting to be back! Over my short break, I was able to write the script for this chapter and even thumbnail out several pages. Feels good to feel prepared! Also, I was able to work on several other projects that needed my attention as well as a lot of life stuff that also desperately needed my attention. So, thank you for being here as we dive into Chapter 17 – Bittersweet and Savory Days!
Is that Abeille on the cover with Miel? Her hair’s a different color! O_o Unless… that’s going to be shown/explained in this chapter? Or is that a new character?
Regardless, I’m looking forward to this chapter! ^^
It is Abellie 🙂 I was confused at first, but I compared her to the previous artwork and it’s the same person. I’m guessing her change of look is to do with wanting to separate herself from her past and start afresh.
I hadn’t thought of that. I assumed it’s Abeille and thought that was said on patreon. I wish more fans would subscribe. https://www.patreon.com/ginabiggs A lot of information and art goes on there frequently, from her various projects.
You comment a lot about her patreon and it sort of makes me uncomfortable. You reference it and link it often and it seems as though it’s sort of a weird marketing tactic since no one can view it unless they pay for it. That in itself is fine, but how often you reference or link it and now outright saying you wish more fans subscribed just makes me feel like this is a subtle dig at people or a marketing ploy and that makes me rather uncomfortable.
There’s nothing wrong with a fan plugging an artist’s patreon; fans get to read this comic for free, but its nice to have artists be fully supported and making money on their art. I don’t think you need to be uncomfortable if you can’t or don’t want to subscribe to patreon–I myself read way too many webcomics to be able to subscribe to all the patreons (or similar), although I wish I could!
Yikes! Well that would be entirely my fault. I follow the comic here and on Patreon. There are a lot more comments here than there. So, it is genuinely true that I wish there were more people there. I post links because there is something there that I think is of interest. If it comes off as a marketing tactic, Gina has nothing to do with that.
For me it doesn’t come off as a marketing tactic. More like… you’re trying to make us feel guilty for not being patrons. Not exactly enjoyable to read on every other page.
I think it reads like I am saying, you would know if you read posts on Patreon. Sorry for my poor wording. I did not mean that.
So excited that you are back and glad you were able to take care of things! I can’t wait to see what happens to our few favorite couples!!!
Can’t wait!
Squeee! I’m finally caught up! And just in time for a new chapter, too. I can’t wait!
Wooo!
I’ve been trying to identify the flower that you’e using for this chapter, but I’m coming up empty. Does this one have a meaning?
So, uncharacteristically of me (usually all the flowers I use in my comics have a deeper meaning), I chose for its visual aesthetic only. I needed tiny red flowers to balance the art for the cover and came across photos of these. I cannot seem to identify its name, but I have the image available. Let me know if you are able to figure out what it is as I am curious as well! ^_^
I had thought various flowers, like daffodil were earth flowers in the story because those flowers have a common meaning, and not because flowers have to be flowers that are on earth. The white flowers that grow on the trunk of trees and on dryads, as epiphytes maybe, I assumed to be from Monotropa. The flowers on the tree and on her hair, here look like they could be rust colored versions of the flowers that grow on dryads. In any case, if the dryad’s flowers are also one’s we would know I would like to know what those are too.
Perhaps my google-fu is especially strong today’ I was able to find that it was Jatropha integerrima (also known as peregrina or spicy Jatropha). According to Wikipedia, it’s a woody member of the spurge family, which tend to produce latex that irritates skin. The family includes poinsettias, too.
That is awesome!! I bow to your Google-fu!
Poinsettia is “be of good cheer”, which might be something Abeille needs right now!
So sweet.
