Just a technical note… you’ve reversed her hand direction on the stick between panels 3 and 4. Lower hand on the stick in panel 4 drove me crazy for a few minutes before I realized what was off about it.
Umm I wasn’t sure, I thought ringette sticks were normally double ended (The street version normally were but they were home made.) I looked and the official ice versions seem to have just one end. Is the game she plays the extra rough street version? Her moms reaction to it seems to indicate that.
I had some fun watching real ringette on youtube, since I didn’t know that was a sport that exists, before. Yeah, I like panel one where Abeille is maybe a little intimidating. Some of that aspect of her personality seemed evident when she was racing against Miel at the apple festival: https://lovenotfound.com/comic/ch15-p41/ , and elsewhere.

it’s really cool to see abeille’s tough side! she’s so sweet and mild-mannered, it’s easy to forget that she’s resilient af.
It isn’t real hockey until somebody loses a tooth! 😀
