Why do I have a feeling that her mother is going to try and convince her to return ‘home’ with them. I just feel something big is going to happen between her and her parents before they leave due to all this tension. Heck I will gladly admit I turn into a Grinch during this time of the year and I get even more emotional because of how often I butt heads with my own mom.
Um can someone explain the Ice sculptures in a salt mine phrase?
I’m glad I have an Ivy in my life, someone to rant to every time my mother nearly drives me insane. It helps me get back down to sane levels again. Also, I came here, saw there was 16 comments and was all “What happened, did someone have a controversial view?”. Nope, just a lot of helpful people explaining salt melts ice.

Salt melts ice
Salt makes ice melt faster.
Salt makes ice melt faster, so ice sculptures in a salt mine would be very impractical.
Salt lowers the freezing point of ice. So putting salt on ice will help melt it.
Salt prevents water molecules from forming into ice, which means that if you put salt on ice, the molecules break down back into water.
Salt melts ice by dissolving it, so it sounds like the visit has been torture for Abielle.
@Tiffany
The saying is referencing the fact that salt melts ice. It’s similar to when people say “go together like oil and water”.
Ice melts when you put salt on it, so that wouldn’t be getting on very well at all…
A bit less explosive than the version I grew up with: like lit matches in a (gun) powder keg.
I think salt melts ice.
Coming from an ice planet, her choice of phrase is a lot more fitting than “fire and gasoline” or “oil and water.”
I AM somewhat surprised that Ivy didn’t even bat an eye at that. Maybe it’s not the first time Abeille has used it?
I have this awful feeling her mother is behind Emil’s job offer. Hope I’m wrong.
GOD everyone needs a friend like this <3<3<3
I could have sworn her mom said they were staying on the planet previously?
And abandon their very important work with rock crystals? Never.
Tiffany, ice melts when you put salt on it, so Abeille is saying she and her mom aren’t doing well together at all. 🙂
I’ve been thinking those flowers look like red Asters.
The server’s dress and hairdo look verfügbar beautiful!
verfügbar = very
(Stupid German Worterkennung 😉 )
