On another note: I actually haven’t been worried about Botan and Clove’s relationship as they seem to be handling each other well. But they’re probably going to have a conversation about the touching as it reminds Clove of how much he yearned for it as a kid, and for Botan it seems to remind him of his mother, which may or may not be a good thing. So excited for all these different stories going on, still want to know what caused mom to be in the hospital in the first place.
While I’m not terribly worried about Clove and Botan’s relationship, the storyline is a good exposition about how deeply people are affected when something as natural as human touch is tabooed in a society. This is a good analog for a number of things in our own society. Good job, Gina!
