As much as I wish she’d let him go with her, it’s really sweet that he doesn’t push when she says no. This page is one of my favorites of the whole comic – the colors are fantastic.
Uhm, it could very well just be a normal shirt that she kept on during the night, because she didn’t plan to sleep there when she left her home and thus didn’t bring any -actual- sleepwear.
The only thing confirmed so far is that she used this shirt this night -as- sleepwear.
😉
I am glad he doesn’t push, but I can’t be the only one thinking that even if she isn’t planning on trying to smooth thing over with her mom, that her mother is still going to directly confront her before she makes it to work and that’s why she doesn’t want him to go with her. I think it might be the ellipses between “And” and “thanks”.
Yeah, after your comment and people on facebook, that last panel is painful for me to look at… Poor Abeille. I am about 30% my mom, so I can imagine that being the case for Abeille.
This comic is going to make me hypersensitive about my similarities with Amaryllis.
Honestly, at this point I’m worried her mother is going to try to literally kidnap her “for her own good.” I’m recalling plenty of real life examples of parents having one of their offspring committed (or similar) because “they were a danger to themselves.” I dunno if the story would go that dark, but it’s not outside the realm of reason.
It could just be hypervigilance from trauma talking, but her mom seems far enough along the spectrum of toxicity that I’m not sure how or if Gina is going to redeem her or mend her and Abeille’s relationship. Amaryllis is ringing all of my “bad things are going to happen” bells, and I’d be a frankly be a little disappointed if they did and then it got resolved in a hunky dory kind of way. Sometimes family members are toxic enough that the boundary needs to be little-to-no contact, at least for a while, and if things go much further with Amaryllis’ behavior, I think that would be the healthiest option. Regardless, I hope Abeille is able to come into her own – with or without her mom.
It’s not just the color palette. Their facial features are more defined than in prior pages–look at Miel’s profile compared to even just the last page.
I remember color experiments that were shared on patreon (lots of treats like that there), and wondering if it would be possible to include those in LNF, or if they would have to be for another project. But, here they are and it works very well.
“Who needs sleep.” As much as Abeille likes touch, perhaps she’s not quite used to sleeping with someone draped on her? (Perhaps I’m projecting just a wee bit.) We’ll chalk it up to agitation over her mum, then.
That may be a thing. It took me about a year to get used to sharing my bed with the man I eventually married. Somewhere between the extra body heat and the him being blanket thief it can be hard to adapt.

I’m glad Miel offers small things to help but doesn’t push, and I hope that Abeille can start opening up little by little to his help as time goes on.
D’awww, this is nice. <3
This is her sleepwear CONFIRMED. At least the shirt.
Abbs, please be careful out there… Miel’s moms could loan you some clothes and you would look so rad.
It’s dangerous to go alone… take this 😀

I’m just trying to keep people informed on the great mystery that is sleepweargate 😀 😀 😀
The people need answers!
The chapter cover is poignant at this point. I’m not certain what is says about sleepwaregate.

It really does feel like something’s changing.
She is giving him those bedroom eyes in that last panel. So strong on fact that she has irises!
The calm before the storm 🙁
Can’t help but feel it’s about to be a trash fire at work. Let’s watch.
I’m not dreaming, am I? Abeille is moving away from the monochomatic pink and is becoming more colourful as the story moves, isn’t she?

That’s better than my theory, let’s go with that. I was afraid her mother had revoked her hair color IP in a fit of pique.

What’s fun is going back to the beginning of the comic now. There’s so many behavior clues that click now.
