If they both don’t jump in the water in the next few pages I will be a little sad.

But more concerned cause Vee is drunk, and I don’t know how well she can really swim when A: drunk B: normally surrounded by forest, not water.

I will also accept Ivy saving her.

Oh. it’s THAT kind of a scene.
Will Aster and Holly strategise in her absence?
Is Verbena going to jump ino the water?

Would “she jumped in the ocean to rescue me and I am doing shifts with her friends at her bedside hoping for her to regain consciousness” be enough of a sensational report for Vera? Maybe aim for something less…

I love their clumsy attempts to communicate (Ivy and Verbena). Confessions mixed with complaints. That’s how it happens in real life, I think. It seems like they are going in a good direction, to me.

Vee is precariously perched…. A tiny bit worried.

All this talk of Ivy potentially saving Verbena from drowning has got me thinking: what are Verbena’s views on touch?

Probably like everyone else’s. It’s gross/childish. Ivy certainly cringed at the thought of touch when Abi first mentioned, I’m sure Vee was raised the same. Which you bringing that up will also be another interesting take cause “How could you do something so gross for me? Don’t you hate me?” or something like that.

I think it’s safe to assume “normal”, which is to say, it’s icky and childlike.

I think it’s probably excused in emergencies, provided you back off immediately after emergency is over.
Kind of like it’s okay to touch someone’s chest (!) and put your mouth on theirs (!) if it’s CPR because saving life takes priority

Yea, much as I would not really want to grab a stranger’s butt, but would totally do so to stop them falling off a building, the society seems to have some leeway for “this is an emergency”. I don’t think anybody gave Aster shit after zee talked that poor guy having a psychotic break into calming down by holding his hand. Folks mostly were like “wow, that must have been awful for you Aster, thank you for handling the emergency anyway.”

Ivy has good partners, and I’m glad they support her trying to reach out to Vee, no matter how complicated the relationship.

I know someone said it before, but Aster really looks gorgeous with that outfit.
It seems its going to be sister talk, hopefully Verbena would be willing to communicate and listen. And maybe Holly and Aster can talk more in Ivy’s absence.

Aster may ask for more intel on the family dynamic. Zie has a glimpse, but Holly definitely seen more of it.

Given the conversation about Ivy wishing she’d jumped in the water when they were younger, I sort of hope they both jump in for the fun of it. I mean, there ARE bots to fish them out.

I think a critic once wrote that the sentiment in some aria sung by Jussi Björling was conveyed much more vividly by looking at Maria Callas listening to Björling than by looking at him singing.

Holly has become the Callas of this series: his facial expressions are really nailing it. Of course he has age lines to work with, but does he let them work for their pay!
