There’s the layer of “if I’m upset by this, that makes Abeille guilty of hurting me.” I hope they figure that out.
Step 1. Realise Amaryllis hurt them BOTH and it’s okay to acknowledge being hurt and comiserate.
Step 2. Destroy Amaryllis.
They are both thinking about protecting the other. Not every problem is a damsel in distress saved by her knight. He is very cute though.
I don’t think there is any destroying of Amaryllis to be done. I want our cherished characters to be unharmed. Just being Amaryllis would be hell. I can’t imagine a satisfying rebuke. But, I guess we will see.
I hear you about Amaryllis. I tried a lot of things with my parents, but in the end, I just stopped talking to them and never started again. It was so much better for my mental health than continuing to try and change any aspect of our relationship would have been. Everyone who has abusive parents has their own journey and their own goals and needs, so I’m interested to see what Abeille and Miel end up choosing, but yeah, I doubt Abeille will choose violence, lol.
the best way to destroy Amaryllis would be to let none of this change their relationship, and let none of this send Abeille back to her parents. For them to persist, and grow, past, beyond, and without her. All by being better, simply by being.
Abeille needs to warch out. Her mom’s next step may likely be to try and get her daughter declared mentally incompetent. Amaryllis obviously has no compunctions about the methods she uses to keep her daughter under her control.
Part of me is wondering if this will trigger a mental bypass in Abeille’s brain. It’s hard to stand up to her mother for her own sake, but when she destroys the career of someone Abeille deeply cares about?
I really just want to see Amaryllis’s stunt come crashing down on her. >:(
I have weird feeling that if Abeille touches him right now to console him, he might lash out. Stating that’s what got them here in the first place since he’s obviously very emotional right now. Or maybe she’ll reach out to touch him but then withdraw, feeling like it’s all her fault…
Either way I don’t know if this will end well.
Something seemingly permanent may be destroyed (Miel’s career hopes), but now the path is cleared to try something that will eventually allow Miel’s & Abeille’s talents & strengths to forge a new path, possibly for their whole society?
Narrator: He was not, in fact, okay.
Love this.
🥺
<3
He looks like he’s going to fall apart and cry T_T poor baby
The lie detectors determined that is a lie. But it is ok to not be ok and try to fake being ok till you feel like you’re in a good place to not be ok.
If he cries, she will probably eff the norms and console him with a hug. Maybe this is what scares him?
Come on now. Abeille and Miel are partners. What a cutey, doing his boy schtick. They are in it, together. I hope they will work it out, together.

I’m all for step 2

Shock and denial.
He looks *just* like him mom in panels 1&2.
Dear writer: I absolutely love you story. Please do not give that b**** a redemption arc.

Abeille, give him a hug, he’s gonna need it here in a second.
Miel, give her a hug, she’s gonna need it here in a second.
