Seeing that child made it suddenly occur to me that the families, or at least the children, in this society are all entirely planned, in some fashion. As accidents can’t really be a thing. Unless this where Professor Utonian lives.
Also, the look on the adults face behind that child is kind of haunting and now I want their life story.
Agreed. That was a loaded statement for sure. It was the tip of an analysis into the bit larger world building I’m trying to piece together of this story and the implications of their society beyond the shown experiences of the protagonists. With our reproduction being more chance based if you will it would be interesting to see more of a society that has more control over it. Ivy and her sister are an interesting example/insight with this world with ivy being a designer baby and her sister (whose name has escaped me) is the traditional random generated genetics. We’ve seen the kids center but angled more on the society training touch out kind of way. Maybe one day some of our love birds with make that choice and we shall see.
Which is why I’ve been super curious how people who engage in the type of touching sex (granted that’s only one of many options) that can result in pregnancy are preventing pregnancies? In a society like this, there would be no market for birth control, or for condoms, dental dams, etc…so what do people do to prevent pregnancy and the spread of STIs?
Did someone say duty? The N3 (neo-natal-nurses) are on it and other TLAs (three letter acronyms, (or one letter followed by a number)) https://lovenotfound.com/comic/ch04-p06a/!
When duty calls they are serious about your and their duty.
My favorite theory was someone on the LNF facebook page, suggesting that Abeille could now go work for the N3.
in a world where people can pick their gender growing up, and get treatment such that he, she, or they never have to feel dysphoria, it might be that the gonads are just there to regulate hormones, and do not function for fertility. I imagine most ladies would opt out of painful menarchy if it was free, easy, and bore no stigma.
I guess I should add: if Gina wants to do a pregnancy plot, I’m sure she would do it interestingly. If not, then she can just not do it and I won’t see any plothole, or need for further explanation.
There are some gorgeous colourings and framing going on in those long panels. I’ve been staring at them for 20 minutes.
I can’t pick a favourite.
Also, because I’m on a current re-read (again!) I just realised that Miel’s uniform has both a short sleeved and a long sleeved version. I guess most uniforms do, but I just didn’t pick up on when the season/s changed over. Especially as Abeille wears only the short sleeved version (down to the thermogenesis humaforming needed for Pasque).
It almost looks like they are holding hands in panel 3. Wow! They look so comfortable. I love Abeille in n panel 2, being relaxed and assertive.
Is that a Dryad I haven’t seen before? Maybe it’s dryad mom, with her head tilted.

I think that’s… a good thing.
There are good and bad reasons to have children. This factor removes at least some of the bad reasons.

I love the tree in the last panel
