I had parents like Amaryllis and Mallow. My now-husband’s parents (though hetero) were not unsimilar to Amma, and kind of Mom (but British so while there might be a certain amount of coming to a child’s defense, there would be no outbursts of rage). I can tell you that Abeille wouldn’t so much integrate is become an immediate part of the family with next to no transition period needed. <3
I’m happy that after everything that has happened, that Miel still feels that way about Abeille. Not that I had any doubts, but it’s reassuring and refreshing that he’s saying that immediately in the context of losing the job. Clearly he doesn’t blame her even a little. He obviously sees this as something which they are in together, and that this is a problem they will solve–together. He’s really mature. And he really loves her.
Gina I like how you’ve contrasted the two sets of parents. Miel’s family is so warm and supportive. It’s really clear they’re ready to invite Abeille in so they can love her with warm drinks and fierce advocacy too. <3
Nice and warm??? That is some heavy duty steam right there. Miel could make smoke signals! His parents are so great though. I will say this contrast of parenting was nice and heartwsrming for sure.
Ahhhhh rereading this I just realized Miel’s Amma calls him “honey”, just like Abeille’s dad calls her “bumblebee”, like their actual names! The little details omg
Gordon Ramsay voice: finally some good freaking parenting
FINALLY!
Apparently, my personality type is “Miel’s Mom.” I’d like to say “Amma” but nope.
Miel, Mom n Amma.
I love the moms so much, as one should.
The last panel where Miel’s been pampered into submission has my favorite Miel face.
It would be interesting to see now Abeille would integrate.

It’s not rage! Its… aggressive advocation.

See, Amaryllis? THIS is how family’s supposed to be.
My mom is just like Miel’s mom xD also that last panel Miel earnestly gushing about Abeille… so cute I could jus cry
Ah this feels so nice thank you ?

I’m currently studying French and I’m now realizing that Miel means honey in French. Seems appropriate for Abielle for a bumblebee!
