100% true what the mother said, 1 person can make a world of difference. I know it made the difference for me. It becomes a lifeline and you pray your hardest that you don’t “scare them away”.
I love every single vibe in this page. Just… the gentle softness to it all. Miel’s smile. The blanket. The mug with a little steam. Miel’s smile. His mothers and their unwavering support. All the colors and how they work together. Miel’s smile. ?
Miel’s mother’s are amazingly supportive, kind, and wonderful people. I’m so happy they are still supportive of Miel’s relationship with Abeille. I was worried that they might somewhat blame her for their son being fired, but no. They truly understand that she is a victim of her mother.
Gosh, this scene is so cathartic after watching Amaryllis’ toxic approach to “love” the past few weeks.
(Amma’s head/hair looks a bit transparent in the last panel)
Eek! Something went weird there. I’ll fix it and reupload before the end of the weekend. Thanks for catching that!
ABEILLE!! You don’t need your mom. Miel has awesome moms to spare!

Wise counsel.

Miel has such a wonderful family. <3
The contrast between the two families is so stark. I’m sure that’s part of the point, but like…wow.
So obvious why Miel is able to give Abeille the love and support she needs; his mothers have modeled that for him every day of his life. I adore them!

The steam appears to be missing in panel 4.
