I like that Clove started the conversation. Might make Poppy feel that this is another safe space and the conversation might get brought about naturally, which seems for the best.
I completely forgot about how much of a…heinous creep Poppy’s dad is/was. If you go back, you see Poppy only cries from her right eye (I’m guessing whatever destroyed her left eye messed up the tear glands too).
I wonder if eye color is a commonly changed trait amongst fully- or partially-engineered children?
In Ivy’s case, she got matching eyes. If money works like it does for us, on Hellebore and Monotropa maybe wealthy people don’t have prescriptions for an eye of matching color challenged. But, dichromia for Poppy just makes her more gorgeous.
So many supportive sweeties!
Poppy has grown so much! That is a nice bit of encouragement for Clove.

Oh gosh, Clove’s little doll has curls like Poppy’s. For some reason I can’t help but find that to be super adorable.
Adorable, absolutely! There seem to be many different dryads.
Way to go, Poppy. <3
We all need people in our lives who are not disgusted by our needs. Yup. Excellent turn of phrase, & o so true!!~
Clove turns on the eloquence without stammering, which is encouraging.
well said and how did I JUST NOW notice Poppy has dichromia?!
Yeah, it’s not easy to tell.
Daisy also has eyes of different colors: https://lovenotfound.com/comic/ch08-p04a/
Poppy lost an eye in an accident: https://lovenotfound.com/comic/ch14-p48/ getting different colored eyes after.
Designer baby Ivy, also had an eye related accident and there’s a story arc about that: https://lovenotfound.com/comic/ch14-p32/
Eyebright Industries, incidentally, is the large company in the story. Eyebright is an herb traditionally used to treat eye ailments.
Monotropa Uniflora, the plant that Monotropa is named after, was also known as Eyebright and was used to treat eye ailments.
