  1. Regarding the Been there done that worn the Tshirt. My maternal host beast was the same way. We went no contact with her twice and I regret never making it stick

  2. Brace for turbulence!!! And I did notice has she said “Child”. That tells you right there she doesn’t see Abeille as an adult.

    1. The only way a parent like Amaryllis would see their kid(s) as adults is for them to fit the molding of their expectations, regardless if they are really happier or even better off for it. She can’t even see how much worse she’s making herself for all of her mess.

  3. Butter Skotch Rabbit

I want to say that I love the colors for clothing for the past couple chapters, it seems to be over looked, like when Amaryllis had her bag and Mallow was wearing the same colors as the bag. Showing off that to Amaryllis her own Husband is there as an accessory instead of a person. Last page with Abeille showing up in her yellow dress deciding to stay by Miel and fight for their dream. After so many pages of Miel wearing pink while showing he’s fully on her side.
Even on this page you just know all the blue items Mallow is holding is his wife’s while that one pink bag is his. The fact that Mallow is basically always wearing a color Amaryllis is wearing when it doesn’t match the rest of his color scheme is such a nice touch. It’s amazing to see color being used to send such messages without a single word.

  4. Chapter name: Daughter Not Found, as Abeille just moves in with Miel and doesn’t tell anyone where she is. The best way to fight this lady is to just not show up. Let her eat radio silence.

  5. This lady is speed running the manual: how to lose the love and trust and presence of your adult children.

  6. Any chance Abeille and Miel went out before the winter storm struck here? If so, I hope that the silent awkwardness last for a while for her. 😏

Seriously though, Mallow got his hands full carrying all of your baggage, both physically and psychologically, and you can’t be bother to ring the bell yourself to screech about losing to your daughter? Just because you can’t scheme your way with Abeille anymore? Hopefully at least, Amaryllis will finally start being straight by everything that has been bugging her here.

  7. She forgot to put up the No Soliciting sign.

  8. I love the how Amaryllis wouldn’t even ring the doorbell by herself, she had to order her husband (who is also carrying all their luggage) to do it. The little details!

    1. I wonder if the bell would even work for her. I’d not be surprised if it’s biometric, and she’s on the “nope” list.

      1. Like blocking someone on a caller’s list. I could see how that can work for unlocking a door, not so much for ringing the doorbell unless its settings stop numerous attempts from certain individuals.

  9. I hope Mallow leaves her too.

    1. Seriously! He’s been complacent Abeille’s entire life by allowing Amaryllis to treat her like this. I’m hoping he finally has the courage to fully stand up to his wife not only for his daughter but for himself.

    2. He just needs to!

  10. Ready or not…

  11. I love that detail of the doorbell, because in her mind it absolves her of any responsibility. The script for her would be along the lines of: “It’s HIM that rung the doorbell, look how sad and desperate HE is, not her! Never her! Abeille is so horrible for doing this to HIM!” Its a way out of her taking responsibility while asserting dominance over both with a tiny action like that.

  12. Somebody please send in a rescue for this poor, beaten down man. I think he’s realizing just how *mean* his wife can be. He looks so disheartened, and has for a while now.

    1. Mallow really does need to stop being in denial over salvaging what’s left of his relationship with his wife. He has really became nothing else more to Amaryllis than an increasingly disenchanted, subservient manservant, an afterthought that has been shoved out of Amaryllis’ list of priorities. Hopefully Abeille’s determination to take charge of her own life can start helping him to find his own courage to do the same.

  13. Complains about the climate, does not change the way she dresses. Why should *she* change? It’s the climate that’s wrong!

  14. My usual thing. I didn’t stand up to my ex (at first) because I couldn’t see how to do so and I loved her. I don’t throw people into the garbage. You don’t toss your child into the garbage.

She would give people grief. Disrespecting people when we are tourists was the worst, much like Amaryllis.

She wears pajamas at the night spot in rural Thailand. Where farmer boy meets girl.

I am a slob, but we are called bird shit for a reason. Asks 3 foot tall Thai vendor if she has her dress in her size, and gets all offended when vendor laughs about what the white demon said.

    The ugly American.

In Guayaquil Ecuador, there is a trench next to sidewalks. If you fell in, it would be like falling into a toilet and breaking your leg. So locals give way to people. My ex plows into them while I hop back and forth to not collide.

When I confronted her it was like what we see in lnf.

Confront her and be alone. That’s what I did.
