Isekai Music

There are always a handful of songs that evoke a strong feeling within me when I’m writing a comic series where I immediately find myself playing out scenes from the story in my head. Wonderful internal isekai going on as I am transported into that world.

For the Love Not Found series, there are three songs that do that to me: Time in a Bottle by Jim Croce, Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now by Starship, and Laurie Berkner’s Fly Me To the Moon.

What song(s) do YOU associate with Love Not Found? Songs that when you hear them, they immediately make you think of the story?

Fly me to the moon always comes to mind after your post about it on
patreon (which every fan should see). It captures Abeille and Miel
facing anything as long as they have each other, I think.
    It is endearing.

The early parts of LNF outside of town in Monotropa are formative for me. Always in
my mind when I read. Abeille meeting with the Dryads and the forest
    bathing arc. Rapt attention by
    These trails
might be listenable and reminds me of seeing
    onotropa for the first time.

You are but an offspring of ocean changing my shore.

With the high tide, you bring me beaches.

With the low tide, you take them away.

You’ve got my rapt attention, font!.

You are sum of the running rivers.

    Leveling my mountains.

    In the storm you rise.

    Fill me to flooding.

In the storm you rush me.

    Wash me to sea.

You’ve got my rapt attention, font!.

You’re the wind that blows shaking me.

Down my knees bend at your command.

You’ve got my rapt attention, font!.

You are the deep of the bluest sky.

    I am your conception.

You’ve got my rapt attention, font!

The early parts of LNF outside of the town in Monotropa are always in my mind when I read. Abeille meeting with the Dryads and the forest bathing arc. Rapt attention by These trails might be listenable.

I’m going to be thinking about this topic for a long time. I love all the response on facebook and twitter. Ain’t misbehavin’ is a song I think about. I sung it for my girlfriend before she left for college on the other side of the country.

That was the only relationship where she and I were head over heels in love. We spent most of our time in silence together, taking long walks, reclining behind bushes, because that’s the only way kids can meet in privacy. (Time in a bottle reminds me of that, so this topic resonates on multiple levels).
