  1. Pretty alluring bait there for the mother to use. Hopefully Abeille doesn’t get hooked in by this because Amaryllis’ line of temperance is gonna to snap, leaving her to return to her ice bubble all sunk.

  2. It’s a trap!

  3. Ugh, even the subtle passive aggressiveness of “I was going to talk to you about this at Jollie, but…” puts me on edge. ><

  4. Bets on whether this is a trap and Amaryllis actually tries to kidnap Abeille at this “remembrance”?

    1. Those were the two I was thinking. I’m not sure

    2. Oof, that’s a sucker’s bet. Probably both, coupled with a very public announcement of how Abeille is “responsible” for Evette’s death, so Amaryllis can completely destroy Abeille’s reputation on Monotropa and preclude any sympathy for Abeille moving to a *different planet* to get away from her parents, plus score “poor me I’m *just* a grieving mother” sympathy.

Trusting people like Amaryllis is a losing proposition.

  5. It’s a TRAP!

  6. I don’t trust it and I hope she brings backup. Always bring backup when engaging with the enemy.

  7. Sometimes the best way to deal with a trap is spring it and fight your way clear. With friends, naturally.

  8. If this is what’s up, Amaryllis using Abeille’s dead sister as an excuse to trick her has got to be the final straw for everyone, right? Like how could anyone want to talk to someone who thinks it’s ok to do something so ghoulish, much less stay married to them?

    1. Yeah no, when you use your dead child as bait for your alive child, that’s when divorce proceedings should happen.

  9. “Oh…did I mention I’m bringing my boyfriend?”

  10. I’m worried that Abeille’s mom is going to get the local authorities to deport Abeille, forcing her to go back to Pasque.
