I understand the need for the story to end, and this is a lovely wrap-up. But I am curious about the long-term effects on this society. Does the touching movement make advances? Does it remain a taboo, just with a few more people willing to explore edge cases?
Like, the society you built for this story is fascinating, but I can’t help but be curious about where it’s going next. Is this a proper movement, or just a small clique? Will people on Monotropa still be scandalized by people holding hands in twenty years?

So maybe this was answered already and I missed it but was the slow introduction of colour a metaphor for how love brightens a person’s world? It was so subtle but looking at these last few pages really hits with how much colour was added compared to the very limited palette the comic started with. Such a beautiful ending for so many reasons 😁
