Unless Amaryllis had developed a sudden realization over what her actions actually accomplished for her and resolved to change from that, I doubt it. She needs to deal with her issues more maturely.
Somehow, I don’t think Amaryllis has the same context about “support” that Mallow does. She’s acting like she can still trick Abeille into going back to Pasque with her; just some more underhanded manipulation rather than the truth about her true motives. Just waiting here for her mask to crack apart again.
I can almost feel what it would be like to not be able to conceive of caring for people. Then being on someone’s side would be something to perform for them.
Oh, she is going to twist this. She is going to twist this SO, SO BAD. I can see it in the way the eyes in panel 5 seem to “shine” with her “idea”. As someone who suffered a parent like her, I do not trust it and I worry for Abeille. I worry about what she will try and do and how she will try and twist it back to “Mallow’s suggestion” and ruin the relationship Abeille and Mallow have now. This is not someone who will “play nice” or “play fair”; this is someone who wants what SHE desires, and screw everyone else. She would burn EVERYONE’s reputation to the floor if it meant she got what she wanted, Abeille back and under her control…sorry her “help”. This feels like a trap she is setting and I worry for them all.
I’m sorry you had a parent with narcissistic personality disorder. So did I, and it took a LOT of counselling to break the bonds and not exhibit the same behavior. I don’t believe I’ve passed it on to my children-I desperately hope not. I pray Mallow awakens to her mean spirits and casts off his enabling ways.
I fear that “show our support” in Amaryllis-brain perhaps translates into ‘go to the honeymoon phase of the abuse cycle’ or perhaps ‘try to convince Abielle that all the problems I caused were actually Miel’s fault and she needs to escape him (rather than me)’. I do not for one instant think she has any interest in actually supporting Abielle’s happiness or independence.

Maybe just maybe this is going to turn out well instead of mental gymnastics

Mallow: Maybe we could support Abeilles choices and path to happiness.
Amaryllis: I can’t believe you would say such an absurd thing.

I have a stray thought: would if Abeille is pregnant, since she and Miel have been intimate repeatedly…?
