Just shy of twelve years, the final page of Love Not Found. It's been quite a ride, huh? It's amazing, no matter how much we prepare ourselves, we're never ready when it comes to say good-bye to something or someone. Whether it's moving away from home, saying farewell to a loved one, or even finishing a really good book. The experience of the journey leaves its mark on us. Life is just like that, but endings bring new beginnings.

I would be honored for you to join me for the next new beginning, a new comic series coming this summer! I've been developing it over the last year and starting in May, I'll be making an announcement about it! Very soon you'll start to see concept art, doodles, and all sorts of material in the lead up to its launch! Creating comics fill me with joy and I look forward to sharing the joy with you! <3

NOTE: To reassure everyone, I know the Strawberry is a plant, not a tree. In this Sci-fi world, Miel’s company was creating all sorts of hybrid plants that could sustain the Monotropan environment. Throughout the series, they’ve made appearances; The Peapricot (pear-apricot hybrid) that Ivy and Holly had been growing at Eyebright, somewhere else I drew in a Sunflower “tree” and other things that were reminiscent of their Earth origins. I envisioned Miel attempting to create this special plant over the course of several years to give as a gift to Abeille.

Good news or better news?

It’s a relief when a doctor asks you if want the good news or the better news. Up until my doctor appointment today, I’ve been sitting on a month of stress fearing my whole career might be over and I would never draw without pain again. I would wake up and the fingers in my drawing-hand would be stiff and the ring finger felt stuck and hurt when I would try to bend it.

Turns out, it’s called Trigger Finger and it was solved with a single steroid injection into the palm near the offending finger. So thankful I can keep on drawing and doing what gives me life.
