You know it’s an *excellent* jewelry store if it has “Shine” in the name. I am not-so-secretly hoping the maybe-jewelry store is actually named “Shinies”.
Botan’s expression through this is interesting. The stony face. I think it means he’s not taking this lightly. It means there’s something he is giving serious thought to, maybe.
I guess a ring would be something he’s been thinking about and not apology flowers.
Man, I just realized- this page make absolutely no sense if you didn’t recognize the shape of the box and what it means. Which is not a criticism- it’s a fantastic non-verbal communication of his intent. But it’s interesting how so much of that depends on a shared cultural understanding.
I always wondered what happened to Abeille wearing a ring on her index finger, in chapter 1. The sales person is wearing her ring there. Botan wore a ring on his first finger on his first date with Clove.
