Love Not Found – Ch24, p50

  1. I love how her hair looks so absolutely shocked! It really conveys how she can’t comprehend yet that Miel wants HER.

  2. yeaaaah no, that would still be letting someone else dictate your actions. Someone who has clearly proven she doesn’t actually care for your happinness (or for anyone’s excepts hers really) its really hard and feels terrible at first, but sometimes you have to cut ties with these type of people

    1. Well, at the very least he’ll bee a real stinger on Amaryllis’ nerves.

    2. I think that’s pretty much what Miel’s also leading her to realize, that she’s not saving him by giving in to her mother, he’s in it for the long haul, so it’s better to fight for what they want.

    3. I’m pretty sure that Miel is using her selflessness in her favor, here. He isn’t really planning on either of them going back to Pasque, but he is letting her know that he won’t live without her, or make a life where she isn’t. He’s giving her a chance to choose to keep fighting her mother for the life they’ve built together where they are.

  3. This doesn’t feel like the right solution for this problem, unless he’s planning to put his nursery idea aside for now to help Abeille out against her mother. A bee 🐝 having its honey 🍯 to survive the winter ❄️.

    1. I get the sense that this is not actually the plan/solution, but that he’s trying to convey to her that they’re in this together and she doesn’t have to sacrifice her happiness for him because she’s part of his life/happiness/goals/dreams.

Likely it’s his way of encouraging her to stay and fight.
      Does that make sense? 🙂

      1. Yes it does.

  4. As bad as Amaryllis is on Monotropa, on Pasque she will be on her home turf and Miel without his support network as well as out of his planetary comfort and expertise zone. That seems like a recipe for failure.

  5. Aww, putting your support in her, no matter what. She doesn’t have to sacrifice herself alone to be slowly molded into Amaris’s mirror image, a bitter martyr narc. She doesn’t even have to imagine it.

Maybe they could visit though, with Miel wearing those expensive earrings. And standing up for his girl in front of her dad. And hugging Abeil in public where Amaris is embarrassed. I’m getting passive aggressive here. I need to cool off.

It is sweet that he’s supporting her. She clearly isn’t used to people believing in her like this.

    1. Obviously BTDTWTTS. Translates into Been there done that worn the T-shirt.

      1. yeah you got me. Gotta step back when I do that before I hurt someone.

  6. Weeeehhhhhhhhhhhh my HEART ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

  7. It might be good for Amaryllis to know that she won’t be removing Abielle’s support structure by moving her back to Pasque… I don’t think that’s where the story will go but if it did, Miel could be the local xenobflora expert

  8. Sweet, but NO!

  9. I think it makes sense. It seems like readers see the same thing. No one thinks going to Pasque is a good idea. Not even Abeille, I think. He’s letting Abeille decide while supporting her in her decision. If you have to go, I will too. He’s not telling her what to do. On the previous page her manner is like someone asking for help, but she isn’t going to ask him to give up on the nursery. She is presenting the details and the risks and presenting the idea that only hurts her. They are both being selfless.

  10. Why are the majority of the comments not getting what he’s doing? They aren’t actually going to move planet, he’s showing that if she’s planning to move to save him, it’s a pointless move because his life plan includes her and he’ll follow her regardless, so it’s better to stay and fight for what they already have.

    1. You’re absolutely correct

      1. I think it’s mostly everyone just joking around about this as Miel is doing here. I don’t think Miel is really going to move off planet with Abeille but gesturing that he’s on her side the whole way thru this motherly predicament, regardless of what Amaryllis schemes to undo them.

Giggs’ story had taken turns in her telling that I weren’t expecting beforehand so maybe Miel’s supposed proposal of “moving with Abeille” might lead to shedding away the doubt towards a proper solution with Amaryllis.

  11. I thought that was what readers who commented thought, it is just that there are multiple facets to the scene and people don’t usually comment on every facet, or it is difficult for me at least to weave them into sentences that aren’t confusing.

For example, commenting on what might happen if they go to Pasque, isn’t saying you think they will go to Pasque.

It is very sweet what Abeille and Miel aren’t saying in words, they are both taking care to cradle each other’s feelings and to not tell the other what to do.

  12. Sorry for this. Recently when I submit a comment, the page refreshes, it doesn’t say my comment is being moderated, and my comment doesn’t appear. If it’s been moderated out that is ok, but if there is some problem on my side I want to fix it.

    1. Glad you brought this to my attention! It turns out there were quite a handful of comments (not just yours) that were getting caught in the spam filter. I have no idea why, but I salvaged them and approved the comments.

    2. Sorry if this is noise. Using brave browser on android I started using “desktop site” because the reply button didn’t display otherwise. I didn’t select “desktop site” for the question above. So, maybe selecting “desktop site” can cause problems.
