I think my favorite thing about Abeille is that her home life was emotionally rough and she’s gone through the trauma of losing her sister (and feeling like she was at fault) but it hasn’t dampened how kind she is. She’s so persistently kind to everyone, thoughtful in this very commonplace way because it comes so naturally to her, and it’s really refreshing to see in a character. I think it’s one of the reasons why I’ve dug this comic so hard (the fascinating conceit regarding touch notwithstanding)
Me too. Maybe there is much we didn’t see with Mallow and Evette that helped her be so strong. That plus living with a mom who’s trying to tear you down. That might tend to push Abeille in the direction she’s been headed.
